  11. I just bought this cheapo 28.8, internal modem but can't find any
  12. reference to it anywhere on the Internet (tried a number of search
  13. engines). It appears to actually be a ACEEX modem...which I never
  14. heard of before either!
  15. The thing seems to work well, the only problem is the length of time
  16. it takes to actually finalize connections (ei: connecting to my server
  17. with a 14.4 is in a flash, with my USR28.8 also in a flash but....this
  18. thing takes up to 45 seconds before my servers term screen appears!
  19. It works just fine after finaling making the connection
  20. though....usually 26400 or 24000.
  21. Any hints on what might be the problem? (perhaps has to do with
  22. "retraining"??)
